You Are Off Your Assigned Altitude

offAltitude

Quick question. ATC has told you to maintain 3,000 feet. If you allowed your aircraft to drift above 3,000, at what indication on your altimeter would ATC consider you to be off your assigned altitude?

I’ll have the answer to that question in the next Radar Contact Show. We’ll also discuss how the FAA’s NextGen version of ATC will affect you. Back to you soon.
